This is a double vinyl LP pressing of The Wind Rises (Original Soundtrack) by Joe Hisaishi. The Wind Rises is a 2013 Japanese animated historical drama film written and directed by Hayao Miyazaki, and animated by Studio Ghibli. The film's score was composed and conducted by Joe Hisaishi, and performed by the Yomiuri Nippon Symphony Orchestra. As a student of anime composer Takeo Watanabe, Hisaishi's music has been known to explore and incorporate different genres, including minimalist, experimental electronic, Western classical, and Japanese classical.
