MEINL Percussion SCP100WN Snarecraft Professional Cajon, Walnut Frontplate

MEINL Percussion SCP100WN Snarecraft Professional Cajon, Walnut Frontplate

Founded by Roland Meinl in 1951 and initially producing wind instruments, the first MEINL cymbals appeared in 1952 and were cut from large metal sheets, hammered, lathed and drilled by hand by Roland Meinl himself, who then personally transported them, on the luggage carrier of his bicycle, to the railway station for shipment. MEINL has since gone from such humble origins to become a world leader in percussion instruments.

MEINL Snarecraft Professional cajons combine articulate rhythmic punctuation with a warm tonal quality to give players a focused sound and wide dynamic range. Made of Baltic birch wood, these cajons respond with a punchy low-end thud and crisp slap tones. The highly expressive snare sounds come from adjustable snares that can be dialled-in with the knob located on the side of the cajon. Turning the knob changes the amount of pressure the snares have, altering their sensitivity. They may also be turned completely off. Rounded corners on the playing surface offer total comfort while maximizing your touch.
