MEINL Percussion HEAD-49 18inch SU18 Surdo Drum Head

This 18" Surdo Drum Head can be used in place of the Napa Heads, although they are quite similar in construction with a soft surface bound together by a metal hoop. The thicker surface layer helps dampen and soften attack while eliminating any sound frequencies, much like a Napa head. The main difference here is that the Surdo Head can bring a very different sound, lending a kind of surging or swelling feeling to the groove.
