MEINL Percussion CA-12T 12x6inch Traditional Aluminium Caixa

The Caixa is a snare-type drum played with sticks and is a drum found in almost any Samba band. This MEINL 12" Aluminum Caixa has synthetic heads for bright, penetrating tones and cutting rim shots, and a traditional style snare consisting of two guitar strings spanning one of the heads, complete with a professional snare throw-off mechanism. The rims are secured with six countersunk tuning lugs (a tuning key is included). All edges are smoothly finished for player comfort. All the hardware is chrome plated. The MEINL logo is printed on the underside of the drum head. This patented technique prevents the logo ink rubbing off onto sticks and causing smear marks on the head.
