Allen and the band members, Centipede HZ was recorded at Sonic Ranch, Tornillo, Texas. The album debuted at No. 16 on the Billboard 200 albums chart on its first week of release, with around 17,000 copies sold in the United States. It also debuted at No. 6 on the Billboard's Rock Albums chart, and No. 5 on the Alternative Albums chart. As of January 2016, the album has sold 47,000 copies in the US
