Black Ice Boost Battery-Free Onboard Guitar Boost

The Black Ice Boost module provides 3 selectable levels of battery-free boost (2, 4 and 7db) that are broadly concentrated in the midrange frequencies. Lower boost settings are perfect for generating fat, humbucker-esque tones with single coil pickups or for hot rodding the output of a low wind humbucker. Higher boost settings can be used to highlight a solo or to slam the front end of a tube amp. Bass players will find that the enhanced midrange has been carefully voiced to generate P bass style bark with standard J bass type pickups. With a P bass, the sound is darker and more bottom heavy, not unlike the grunt of an EB style humbucker. Approximately 2/3 the size of a 9-volt battery, the Boost module can be easily installed in most instruments with no routing or permanent modifications required. The tone of the instrument remains completely unaffected when the boost is bypassed.
